What the programme aims to achieve

Help learners participate more confidently in education and develop practical digital skills.

Programme activities

  • Learning materials and targeted school-resource support where funding permits.
  • Digital literacy sessions covering safe technology use and basic productivity skills.
  • Learning support, study guidance and mentoring.
  • Partnerships with schools and educators to identify and address learning barriers.

Who it is for

Learners facing barriers to learning and under-resourced schools

Participation guidelines

  • School-resource support is intended for learners enrolled in a recognised school or learning programme.
  • Digital learning tracks may include out-of-school learners where the announced intake permits.
  • No minimum grade is required for basic learning or digital literacy support.
  • A parent, guardian or school representative must coordinate enquiries for children.
  • Any future scholarship will have its own published criteria; this programme does not guarantee a scholarship.

How to take part — three simple steps

  1. Choose this programme. Read the proposed eligibility and decide which support or track fits your needs.
  2. Express interest by email. Share your name, preferred contact and a short description of your interest. A guardian or school can enquire for a child. No account is needed.
  3. Confirm the next available activity or intake. SOF will explain current availability and the next steps. Submit the short application and any required information through the official process; wait for confirmation before attending.

A learner, adult guardian, teacher or school may express interest. State the learning support needed without sending school records at this stage. SOF will explain any school confirmation or additional documents required for the next available intake.

Express interest by emailDownload programme brief

The email button opens a draft for you to review and send. This website does not save your interest or submit an application. The SOF team handles participation enquiries by email.

Do not include identity documents, bank details, passwords or health records in the initial enquiry. Any later document requirements will be explained through the official intake process.

Selection and preparation

For each intake, assessment considers eligibility, the support needed, fit with the available track and available places. Basic eligibility does not guarantee selection. Request any accessibility support you need. Additional qualifications, documents, attendance commitments and any participant costs will be stated before applications open.
